Lita Cruz Pinlac-Cabal is a dedicated and compassionate individual with a strong passion for helping others. Born and raised in Parang, Marikina City, Philippines, Lita is the 2nd youngest of seven siblings. From a young age, she knew she wanted to make a positive impact in the world, and her journey towards achieving this goal has been nothing short of inspiring.

Lita’s initial dream of becoming a nurse was put on hold due to financial constraints, leading her to pursue a career in computer programming instead. During her college years, Lita was actively involved in various social activities, serving as the Club President of the Computer Management Society Club and later as the Secretary of the Student Council. Her strong leadership skills and commitment to making a positive impact in her community were evident from a young age.

After graduating, Lita’s first job in the Philippines was as a Programmer Analyst at National Panasonic. In addition to her programming work, she also actively participated in company activities such as tree-planting projects and Alay Lakad (walkathon) events, showcasing her dedication to making a positive impact in her community.

In 2003, Lita migrated to Canada and joined the Canadian Cancer Society-BC & Yukon Division as a Database Administrator. She also volunteered her time and skills for various initiatives, including data entry for door-to-door campaigns and the Relay for Life.

Lita’s passion for helping others extends beyond her professional and volunteer work. She is a loving wife to her husband, Michael Cabal, whom she met in Canada, and a proud mother to three wonderful children. Lita is actively involved in her children’s school and church, where she volunteers her time and talents to make a positive impact. She and her husband also lead a small group in their church and are dedicated volunteers at the City Dream Centre, assisting with food hamper distribution and gift-wrapping programs during Christmas season.

Her passion for helping others and making a difference in her community is evident in her involvement in various charitable initiatives, such as the Food Feeding program in the Philippines, which she and her family helped start in 2022. Giving back to the community has always been Lita’s ultimate joy.
